Our Story

We Didn't Come to Lakewood to Blend In

When we opened Village Roaster Coffee inside St. Anthony Hospital, we had a simple belief: people deserve great coffee everywhere — even in a hospital setting.

Most hospital cafés serve what's convenient. We serve what's crafted. Every batch of beans arrives green, gets roasted in small quantities right here on-site, and is ground to order for your cup. That means every sip carries a flavor profile you won't find at a chain.

Our location at 11600 W 2nd Pl was chosen deliberately — to be a warm, welcoming stop for hospital staff on long shifts, patients and families looking for comfort, and Lakewood residents who happen to be in the neighborhood.

From Green Bean to Your Hands

We don't buy pre-roasted beans from a distributor. We source green beans, roast them here in Lakewood, and serve them the same day.

We partner with sustainable farms across Central America and East Africa, selecting beans for flavor complexity and ethical growing practices.

Roast

Small batches, carefully monitored. Our roaster develops each bean's unique character — from bright and fruity to deep and chocolatey.
